The relatively new field incorporates a range of disciplines, with the more popular including mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, and organic chemistry. Other fields, such as computer science and optics, fall equally within its reach — graduates with bachelor’s or advanced degrees in a number of disciplines can excel in our Certificate program in Bioinstrumentation. Along with in-depth knowledge of a specialty within biomedical engineering, working professionals will receive the advanced training to complement their existing skill sets and optimize their career development. If you choose to work toward the master’s degree in biomedical engineering at NYU-Poly, you are able, upon admission, to apply all courses taken toward this certificate to fulfill the degree program. You may apply to this program if you have a BS or a more advanced degree in any engineering discipline, mathematics, and/or in any natural science. The program adviser reviews with successful applicants prerequisites that may be required for successful completion of certificate courses.
