Course Description

The BA Business Management including Foundation Year degree pathways courses have been designed to provide a very comprehensive grounding in the main areas of business but also allowing students to follow a particular pathway, such as Economics, to increase knowledge and experience associated with their field of specialism. The focus of the degree is to supply theoretical substance to core areas of business but it also helps students develop analytical and decision-making skills. The BA Business Management with Economics including Foundation Year degree (UCAS course code L1N2) is ideal for students who wish to develop a broad understanding of business while gaining an in-depth knowledge of Economics and its effects on the business world. The degree has been designed to allow students to build a specialist knowledge of several areas of economics with a particular emphasis on business economics. In Year 1, you will have the opportunity to study towards the KPA Level 3 Award in Employability alongside your degree. This Award is designed to build on what you learn in your degree in order to help you develop employability skills that are relevant for the workplace. This degree runs on a 2 day timetable, designed to let you study with more flexibility and make the most out of your time outside the classroom. After completion of Year 1, students have the option to specialise in either Economics, Human Resource Management, Marketing or International Business.
