The Communication program at FGCU is designed to prepare students for a variety of communication-related fields, particularly those that complement the mission of Florida Gulf Coast University. The Communication major provides a solid foundation for students seeking careers in business, law, journalism, public relations, mass communication, environmental communication, and many other fields. The program also provides the necessary foundation for students planning to attend graduate school. There are four concentrations within the major: Communication Studies Political Communication Public Relations Environmental Communication All concentrations share a strong theoretical foundation that unifies the degree.
