The mission of the Art Program at Florida Gulf Coast University is to educate students and the community in the creation and appreciation of art and design; emphasize the importance of context in art history and contemporary culture; provide students with a clear sense of direction towards a career in the creative industries; and teach art with a lively awareness of both global perspectives and local responsibilities.
