Art and Design (Photography) A Level On this course, you`ll be working in one or more areas of photography, including portraiture, landscape, still life, documentary and experimental. You`ll develop the ability to explore elements of visual language, line, form, colour, pattern and texture. The course will teach you how photographers respond to an issue, theme, concept or idea and you`ll develop an appreciation of viewpoint, composition, depth of field and movement. On the practical side, you`ll learn the appropriate use of the camera, film, lenses, filters and lighting and you`ll come to understand techniques relating to the developing and printing of photographic images.
