Art and Design (Graphic Design) A Level You`ll be introduced to a variety of experiences exploring a range of graphic media, techniques and processes including illustration, advertising and packaging design. Both new and traditional technologies will feature in your work. Key areas of study are: awareness of intended audience or purpose; the relationship of form and function and, where applicable, the constraints of working to a brief. You`ll also develop an appreciation of the appropriate use of typography, signs and symbols.

This qualification could form the basis of progression to art and design courses in Higher Education or the Foundation Degree in Art and Design. It would also contribute to the entry requirements for a wide range of none-art and design Higher Education courses.
