A one year broad based course which prepares students for employment in the animal care industry or for progression on to the Extended Diploma in Animal Management. Students will gain experience working with small mammals, dogs, cats and exotic animals.

Students must gain a merit/distinction in the Subsidiary Diploma and achieve three additional units during the first year in order to progress on to the Level 3 Extended Diploma. The Subsidiary Diploma prepares students for working in the animal care industry e.g. RSPCA Rescue Centre. Students will gain experience working with small mammals, dogs, cats and exotic animals.
