This subject deals with the patterns and principles of chemical change in the areas of inorganic, organic and physical chemistry. Applied chemistry and the importance of this subject in the modern world, including environmental, social and industrial aspects, are also studied. The theoretical work is underpinned by extensive laboratory investigations and practical demonstrations To take A2 Chemistry you will need to have achieved a minimum of 5 A*-C GCSEs in one sitting including English Language and a D grade or above in AS Chemistry. There will also be a course based assessment.
