MA Art and Design: Interdisciplinary Practices is aimed at practitioners who want to develop a professional art and design practice by engaging with the ‘hybrid’ nature of art and design in contemporary culture. Art and Design is considered in relationship to philosophy, art history and theory, contemporary discourse and context, establishing a critical framework in which practitioners make work in the contemporary world. We have strong links with external organisations and divergent arts communities.

Studying an arts based Master’s course, will help you to pursue or develop your career in a range of related professions across the creative industries. This course will help to enhance your skillset and employability and either progress in your existing role or achieve your career ambitions in a new direction. Many of our graduates have achieved regional, national and international recognition as professional artists in the creative industries sector.
