Diploma of Music (Classical)

Course Description

The Diploma of Music (Classical) course is a comprehensive program of technical skills, musical knowledge and performance, designed to prepare you for your music career. Students work with specialist staff with access to a range of quality facilities for both live performance and studio recording. Areas of Study include: * Ensemble work * Live performance practice * Individual tuition * Musicianship * Keyboard Harmony and Aural * Music theory * Technical skills * Musical knowledge and * Genre specific performance studies AIM students regularly perform in front of staff, peers, industry reps and the general public, through performance classes, ensemble nights, graduating recitals and ‘Soulfood’ concert series. Pathway to a Bachelor of Music The Diploma of Music can also provide a pathway to the Bachelor of Music, pending results in the first part of the course. For the first two trimesters, Diploma students receive specialist units of study. In trimesters three and four, Diploma students continue their study as per Bachelor one and two.
