Studying abroad is not compulsory, but is highly recommended and is advantageous to securing a career with international scientific organisations, international government and non-government agencies, private industry, and in scientific research. What you will study: You will study the foundational sciences (Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences) early in the course. Later studies will provide you with the opportunity to choose at least one of the following major areas of study: Biological Sciences Chemistry Geology Human Geography Medicinal Chemistry Nutrition Physical Geography and Environmental Geosciences Sport and Movement Science. You will also choose two minor studies from one of the interdisciplinary areas of Technology, Social Science, or Business. You will participate in two 'global classroom' subjects: International Perspectives in Science Bioethical Challenges: A Global Perspective.
