The Graduate Certificate in Science is for students seeking to upgrade their science qualifications and gain further knowledge and technical skills in science. The degree also gives you a foundation for further study in science: the International Master of Science, Master of Science or Master of Science and Management are all ideal follow-up degrees. Your degree: You will be taught to integrate and apply knowledge about concepts and principles in the discipline of Science; review, analyse and synthesise information to identify and solve science questions and problems; communicate ideas about current issues and applied research related to issues in Science; and manipulate, summarise and communicate scientific data. What you study: The program comprises four compulsory subjects: Fundamentals of Science Communication Fundamentals of Science Laboratories (SCIE912)** Fundamentals of Science Data Current Questions in Science. ** In consultation with the Associate Dean International students may be required to select another 800 or 900 level subject from their area of specialisation instead of SCIE912.
