Course Description

This programme allows you to significantly shape your own learning experience. The uniquely flexible programme lets you keep a breadth of science in your study to give you the maximum opportunities for employment. Degree structure This programme is built around the core scientific disciplines of biology, chemistry, maths and physics, as well as the more applied subjects, such as pharmaceutical sciences, nutrition and sports science. It will enable you to retain a broad knowledge base throughout your degree and gain exposure to a wide range of workplace-focused skills. With its emphasis on problem-solving and transferable skills, it's designed to equip you with the specific knowledge, practical skills and academic experience required for you to progress into further study and suitable employment across a wide range of sectors. Multidisciplinary modules Each learner's personalised programme – constructed with significant input from an academic mentor – will be created from the portfolio of courses offered within the Department of Pharmaceutical, Chemical & Environmental Sciences and the Department of Life & Sports Sciences. The degree will therefore give you maximum control over what you learn and will allow you to focus on gaining the specific knowledge, skills and academic experience you need to progress after graduation. The programme will also be of great interest if you are a non-UK student as the non-standard undergraduate degree pathway may align more usefully with career opportunities in your home country.
