This program involves four coursework courses plus a dissertation of 12,000-15,000 words. Within the multidisciplinary Honours program, studies in Literature, Film, Philosophy, Cultural Studies, Historical and Heritage Studies and Social Sciences are offered. Critical theory provides a theoretical underpinning for courses in literature, film, history, and the social sciences, as well as an introduction to the interdisciplinary field of cultural studies.
