You can obtain either a Single, Joint or Major/Minor LLM in the controversial and expanding area of Health Law. Why choose LLM Health Law? Improve your academic profile in the competitive area of law with a postgraduate qualification. Choose to study Health Law in-depth as a Single award, or select modules from a wide range of subject areas to gain either a Joint or Major/Minor LLM award that suits your interests. Address the interface between medicine, law and ethics and fulfil the growing need for legal professionals with an understanding of Health Law. Examine general principles such as Consent to Treatment and Medical Ethics together with more specialist areas such as the Law Relating to Organ Transplants. Gain an insight into the impact of the Human Rights Act 1998 on healthcare and explore the link between ill health and poverty. Modules are taught in comparison with a European context. Attend an International summer school and gain valuable experience of European and international law in practice. Choose to study full-time or part-time. Scholarships are available. Continuing professional development (CPD) Practitioners can study individual modules from the LLM programme for CPD awards. Nottingham Law School offers a suite of practice-based practitioner programmes specifically designed to meet the personal development needs of legal practitioners. We offer courses that qualify for CPD with the Solicitors Regulation Authority, in-house training and bespoke programmes. These courses are highly flexible and can be delivered throughout the year both nationally and internationally.
