You will design, produce and service machinery, equipment, tools and mechanical systems. The New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) will provide you with both the theoretical understanding and the practical skills necessary to work as an engineering technician in the mechanical engineering and mechanical services fields. As an engineering technician you are an essential member of the design team and will be sought after by industry for the high levels of technical knowledge and practical skills that you have.
