New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Electrical) (Level 6)

Course Description

Design and implement, analyse and problem solve and develop solutions using the latest techniques. You will learn to do all this with the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (NZDE). The programme focuses on developing the skills required to work as an engineering technician and has a very strong orientation toward applied technology. The national qualification is the standard for New Zealand-trained engineering technicians. You will learn to communicate with clients to determine requirements, analyse engineering problems, develop high-quality solutions consistent with best current practice, demonstrate knowledge of the design and implementation process, use modern tools and efficient development techniques, design rigorous fault-finding and testing procedures, and how to work effectively in a team environment and to deadlines. On graduating you will be ready to work as an engineering technician in your specialisation or you can go on to further study with the Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Electrical).
