Combine practical sea-time and training ashore to build on your knowledge in navigation methods, radar, bridge systems, hazards, compass work, meteorology, maritime practices, ship properties and shipboard communications. Develop the skills and ability to accept positions of leadership and high responsibility immediately after graduation. You can supplement your sea-time experience in our state-of-the-art full mission bridge simulator. Successful students will, on completion of the required seatime, also gain the internationally recognised Watch Keeper Deck Certificate of Competency (Maritime New Zealand).
