Course Description

Programme highlights A graduate diploma is a one-year, full-time programme in a specialised area of study. You will graduate at the same level as a degree student, but with a more focused field of knowledge. It is designed for people who have a degree in one area but want to change their area of specialisation or career. It is also for people who have a Level 6 or 7 diploma, and/or several years of relevant work experience, who want to get a qualification or update their skills in their chosen field. Your programme will include a full-time industry project for a local business, ensuring you graduate with both a diploma and real work experience. The Arts Management major has been developed to meet the needs of the arts and creative industry to prepare students to work at supervisory and management levels in creative arts organisations, such as theatre, music, dance or visual arts or alternatively in their own businesses.Students will learn fundamental skills in management and other more general business competencies, and will be immersed in case studies, relevant industry examples of best practice scenarios, presentations, visits to relevant businesses and investigations into management issues in the local and international community.
