Got designs on a career in engineering? Build up essential skills and knowledge to take on a range of apprenticeships in either toolmaking, general and maintenance engineering or manufacturing and design. Learn core skills in drawing, design, fabrication, calculations, workshop theory and practice, maintenance engineering and first aid. At MIT you'll learn on real machinery including mills, lathes, drills, surface grinders and spark eroders. Our expert teachers work closely with the manufacturing industry, machine shops and toolmakers which means you keep pace with current technologies. Classes are held three days a week and our students are in demand by industry for work experience.
