Switch on your career in Electrical engineering Get practical skills in the electrical trades, and go on to qualify as an apprentice electrician. Develop fundamental knowledge in electrical circuits, along with circuit design and operation – theory and practice, wiring and electrical regulations, and electrical protection systems. The Level 2 component teaches basic installation, maintenance and repair of electrical writing and equipment to industry unit standards. On completing Level 3, and combined with work experience, you'll be work ready and able to start your career as an apprentice electrician. At MIT you'll spend a lot of time in our well-equipped electrical engineering workshops where you'll focus on practical projects that provide usable skills, not just theory. Our specialist lecturers are EWRB-registered and contribute to a number of industry associations and boards, which mean you keep pace with relevant knowledge and skills and current technologies. Because we teach industry standards we'll prepare you to eventually become a registered electrician.
