A postgraduate study of applied economics studying traditional theory and post crisis economics. The course design draws heavily from the lessons learned from the recent economic crisis and aims to provide you with a degree in the economics, which is very relevant to today. You will study micro and macroeconomics directly applied to real world scenarios as well as taking a course in behavioural economics. You will gain valuable practical experience with policy analysis, scenario modelling, data sourcing and move away from the traditional economic models, criticised as being too far removed from reality, to contemporary models much more in keeping with the modern economy. You will have the opportunity to engage with current business issues through specialist input and the completion of independent study. Your dissertation will normally take the form of an empirical piece of research.
