BA/BSc Combined Honours Coaching Studies

Course Description

Combined Honours Coaching Studies provides students with the opportunity to integrate coaching theory and knowledge into a practical environment. Students will be required to demonstrate competence in a range of vocationally relevant tasks as well as their ability to understand and critically evaluate key theories and concepts in coaching. The Combined Honours programme offers you an opportunity to study two subjects at degree level. You can combine coaching studies with subjects including education studies, outdoor studies, and sport. Placement options There are no formal placements unless you opt for coaching as your major in Year 3, where you will negotiate an industry-related work placement at home or abroad. You will be encouraged to volunteer or gain part-time jobs in coaching and/or sports development.
