This degree, which assumes no previous knowledge of accounting or finance, combines accountancy, finance and economics with business disciplines. There is a strong focus on developing your management skills to ensure that when you graduate you have the full complement of high-level skills that employers are looking for. In addition to writing reports, you will also have the opportunity to develop your presentation skills so that you are able to prepare well-researched business cases and financial reports delivered through persuasive, engaging presentations. Our staff are professionally qualified and many fulfil advisory or examining roles with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). We are an approved platinum learning provider for the ACCA. This course can give you a good head start in becoming a qualified chartered accountant. Both the full-time and placement routes provide the maximum number of exemptions for ACCA and ICAEW and exemptions for CIMA, ensuring you will have fewer professional exams to sit once you have graduated and will qualify in a much shorter time period. You can work for a year in industry as part of your degree to gain valuable work experience (Sandwich Year)
