The Foundation Year is designed for students who don’t have the qualifications to enter directly onto an honours degree. The course helps you to develop the academic knowledge and study skills necessary to be successful on your degree. After successful completion of the foundation year you will progress directly on to International Community Arts Practices with routes in Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Music and Theatre. Students regularly go on to successful careers in film, television and theatre and previous graduates have established careers as actors, dancers, directors, theatre crew, teachers, artistic directors of their own theatre companies and other arts professionals. Alternatively, many students go on to postgraduate study and employment in a wide variety of professions.
