Course Description

If your goal is to earn a full diploma and to go on to degree-level studies, Humber’s General Arts and Science – University Transfer diploma program is the best choice for you. Once you have successfully completed our two-semester University Transfer certificate program or the College Transfer certificate program (with the bridging courses), you may continue to semesters three and four to take advanced-level courses and maximize your transferrable credits. Based on your grades, there are over 20 different degree programs offered at Humber and University of Guelph-Humber where you can continue your studies with direct transfer credits. With the General Arts and Science diploma, you will be eligible for studies in the liberal arts, humanities or the social sciences at University of Toronto (both Mississauga and St. George campuses) with direct transfer credits equivalent to over a full year of university study (grade dependent). If you choose York University, you will have one full year of advanced standing. If you want to experience degree-level courses to prepare yourself for university, to gain admission to the best institutions and to get transfer credit too, then the General Arts and Science – University Transfer diploma program is for you. Career outcomes

Graduates will be able to apply academic credits toward diploma-level studies at Humber. Graduates will also be able to apply their academic credits to degree studies at Humber, as well as at other colleges and universities. For example, graduates with a grade point average (GPA) of 75 per cent and above are eligible for admission to University of Toronto (St. George or Mississauga campuses) with up to six full degree-level credits. If you start in GCOM 050 and GRDG 101, you will need to complete a bridging semester (three additional courses) to be eligible for the second year of the University Transfer diploma program 09111.
