Course Description

Humber’s Public Relations (PR) advanced diploma program graduates are highly sought after by agencies, business, government and non-profit organizations. Employers recognize value in the Humber PR brand and this makes our successful graduates more marketable. Increased use of social media is expected to increase the employment growth for PR specialists. Public Relations is a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics. This program is focused on professional writing skills and content development. Students must take college-level English and PR Writing Labs This program will prepare you to plan, develop and execute effective public relations plans using social and traditional media. With your public relations training at Humber, it’s not just what you learn that makes the difference, but who’s teaching you. Your professors have significant industry experience and share their expertise in the classroom to prepare you for the real world. Our intensive, hands-on approach to PR is why so many of our students have won awards for their achievements from the International Association of Business Communicators, Canadian Public Relations Society and PR agencies.
