If your goal is degree-level studies at Humber or at a university, Humber’s General Arts and Science – University Transfer two-semester certificate program is designed for you! This foundational program will give you the tools you need to move forward along your educational path. It will help you: – Build important academic skills – Improve your academic standing – Gain admission to degree-level study at Humber and at many universities – Earn transferrable credit for future diploma and degree-level study In your first semester, you will take five core courses focused on critical thinking and writing skills, social sciences, literature and math. You will have an opportunity to try out some online learning too, as some of our new hybrid courses blend classroom and online experience for you. Based on your success in first semester, your second semester courses will allow you to explore a variety of different fields in the humanities and social sciences – and you will earn transfer credits along the way.

Graduates will be able to apply academic credits toward diploma-level studies at Humber. Graduates may also be able to apply their academic credits to degree studies at Humber, as well as at other colleges and universities. For example, graduates with the certificate and an above 70 per cent average earn a half-year of advanced standing at York University.
