The General Arts and Science – Health and Science certificate program will help you help yourself by giving you the science, mathematics and communication skills to start you on a path to the career in health sciences you want. Our preparatory program is designed to help you improve in the foundational areas necessary for you to pursue postsecondary studies at Humber and beyond. Courses in chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology, technical mathematics, critical thinking, computer applications, and academic and scientific writing are critical components of the curriculum and necessary for the next phase of your education. A special integrated skills course will provide the opportunity to improve academic skills, explore learning styles and decide which career path best suits your abilities and maturing interests.

Students who successfully complete all courses may qualify for acceptance into a number of health science programs at Humber, including the University of New Brunswick – Humber Bachelor of Nursing, Funeral Director 1, Funeral Director 2, Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA/PTA), Paramedic, Pharmacy Technician and Practical Nursing programs.
