DBS Advantage assists DBS students in developing these important skills. There is, however, more to being a student than just studying. The DBS Student Services department co-ordinate a growing number of clubs and societies each academic year, which have enjoyed success at various Intervarsity levels. DBS continues to grow and build on its reputation as Ireland's leading independent college. July 2007 saw the College’s acquisition of Portobello College. The amalgamation of the two institutions creates Ireland's largest independent third level institution with a student population of more than 9,000 and an ability to deliver over 100 accredited programmes.
