Duration: 3 years full-time; 4 years sandwich (study abroad or work placement). If you enjoy creating your own worlds, developing characters and telling stories in pictures, this course offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in that world and learn about how to become successful in illustration and animation.

Same graduates from this course have gone on to become successful illustrators and animators, including published writer/illustrators who have had their work published both in the UK and internationally. The course is designed to reflect the expectations of creative, professional practice, encouraging students to produce work of the highest calibre. You will have the opportunity to undertake a commission, live brief or competition brief in order to give you a
sense of the demands of working for a client or external agency. In your third year you will be expected to choose a project that relates to your prospective career path and that could be a significant addition to your portfolio. You will be expected to have fulfilled the requirements of the brief to the highest possible standards and to have demonstrated professionalism through both the execution of the work and the management of your production schedule.
