Students will study general psychology at an advanced level and specialise in their choice of, educational and child psychology, counselling and clinical psychology or health psychology.

On successful completion of this programme, you will be equipped with skills and knowledge relating to how psychology can be applied in practice. Such a qualification will be of benefit to those wishing to work in applied or research settings in psychology-related disciplines. Please note, this course is not accredited by the British Psychological Society. Successful graduates cannot immediately on graduation use this qualification to enter into stage 2 of the British Psychological Society route towards Chartered Psychologist Status. However, previous graduates have found the course to be benficial in developing their skills, enhancing applications and securing places on accredited training courses including Clinical, Counselling and Educational Psychology, in successfully applying for Assistant Psychologist posts and in pursuing careers such as nursing and teaching.
