On successful completion of your degree, you should be well-equipped to pursue a career in a professional firm of accountants. In the past some of our students have obtained positions in KPMG, PwC and Grant Thornton or as an accountant in industry, working for companies like Tesco, IBM, Virgin Group, Next or Marks and Spencer. A number of our graduates have also developed very successful careers with small and medium sized organisations. To complete your professional qualification you will need to complete final exams and have three years of professional training and work experience. Salaries increase in line with experience and according to a Hays survey in 2014, a newly qualified accountant in the Midlands could earn around £40,000 per year.
