Professional Paramedics are ready to face the unexpected challenges that come with providing emergency care in the pre hospital environment, or urgent care setting, to an ageing and diverse population. This course aims to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a professional, HCPC registered Paramedic.

Paramedic graduates from Coventry University are much sought after by NHS Ambulance Trusts and the majority of our graduates secure Paramedic positions even before they have completed their course. We work very closely with the West Midlands Ambulance Service Foundation Trust and many of our graduates choose to stay with the Trust choose to work within the West Midlands or neighboring ambulance trusts. While most graduates initially choose to work in an NHS Ambulance Trust, the range of opportunities for Paramedics is expanding and careers are also available outside the NHS including event cover, forensic Paramedics and private ambulance services. For those who wish to continue their academic career, opportunities are available at Coventry for progression to BSc (Honours) and onwards to Masters, MPhil and PhD.
