The course has been designed to attract students with an interest in global and local social challenges from an interdisciplinary social sciences viewpoint. Small group and individual tutorials ensure that you are supported in your personal, academic and professional development by staff who get to know you well and can help you to access wider University services effectively such as international experience, welfare, technology, study support and careers services. Teaching staff are well qualified academically and also have backgrounds and continuing engagement with professional fields such as voluntary sector management, community development, youth work, teaching and social housing. This means that they can authentically apply theory to practice and give examples to bring social sciences alive and make the degree relevant to your future career interests.
