Confederation College’s Dental Hygiene three-year program provides students with all the knowledge and hands-on experience they need to succeed in this challenging health care discipline. Professional dental hygienists have five primary responsibilities: clinical therapy (cleaning teeth), health promotion, education, administration and research. Generally, dental hygienists work with dentists and other professionals to provide client centred care. In many ways though, they work independently in their own area of expertise to promote oral health and wellness for their clients.
