The aims of the course are to provide skills and knowledge in the rapidly changing field of Engineering. The course provides a formally structured programme of study for those seeking skills at Technician Engineer level in the field of Engineering or entry to a degree level qualification. This course has been accredited by the Engineering Training Authority as meeting their Technician Engineering Training requirements for general engineering appreciation and selected engineering applications. This is a coursework based qualification with a project and assignments, but does not have an external exam. The course consists of core units and specialist units.
