English Language & Literature The study of English Language & Literature encourages students to develop their interest in both the literary and linguistic elements of English as interconnecting and mutually supportive disciplines. This course allows students to develop as independent, confident and reflective readers and writers. The course gives a variety of opportunities to explore the effect of writers and speakers through a wide range of reading opportunities. Analysing critically and responding to both literary and non-literary texts, students also write for a variety of audiences and purposes.
