Course Description

The Energy Systems Engineering Technology (Co-op) program addresses the challenge society is facing to integrate and use modern sustainable energy technologies in a manner consistent with our urban environments, while changing views on energy and the environment transform the utility and construction sectors. As such, this college engineering program teaches you the fundamental skills to understand energy and its uses in modern society. The advanced diploma program is demanding, but offers a unique blend of technical, managerial and entrepreneurial skills that are highly sought after in modern energy and sustainable building companies. This program offers an optional co-op component that allows academically-qualified students to enhance their education by working a full calendar year as paid employees in the field. The experience puts classroom learning into practice while helping you to build a network of valuable contacts for future careers.
