Course Description

This program will introduce you to broadcast and electronic media production processes, equipment and technology. You will participate in practical activities that provide insight into all key roles and processes in media production including: camera operation, editing, audio, lighting and working in production teams. You will engage with the legal, OH&S and financial parameters that operate in the Australian media industry. After completion you will understand the stages and roles of media production and be employable at entry level in the industry. At the Advanced Diploma level, this program will enable you to develop and manage real media projects in work based scenarios. You will take a leadership role and be responsible for documenting all stages of the projects. These skills will prepare you for work in media roles, such as in film and TV production, sound, research, editing and film making.
