Course Description

Studying arts and creative arts connects hands-on studio production with critical reflection, and practice-based subjects that work in tandem with theoretical analysis. You will learn practical and creative skills in the arts, media and performance. It will equip you with essential broad skills, including creative thinking and effective communication and problem solving, all of which are required for high achievement in a range of careers in the creative industries. This degree: You will choose one major from the Bachelor of Creative Arts degree: Creative Writing, Graphic Design, Music, Theatre, Visual Arts, or Visual Arts and Design. You will choose one major in the Bachelor of Arts degree: Creative Writing, Cultural Studies, English Literatures, French, History, Indigenous Studies, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin (Non-Chinese Background Students), Mandarin (Character Background Students), Philosophy, Photography, Politics, Science and Technology Studies, Sociology, Spanish, or Writing and English Literatures. In addition, you will choose a minor or another major from the Bachelor of Arts offerings.
