The IHM programme reflects the diversity and global character of the industry. You'll do your internship abroad and be able to spend 2 semesters at a partner university in another country. On campus you will collaborate with international hotel companies through case studies or projects. During your studies you will meet students and faculty from all over the world. To complete your international profile, you will graduate with a Bachelor degree from your university abroad and from IUBH. Alongside management, operational and practical skills, the International Hospitality Management programme develops leadership, teamwork and communication competencies. Possible employers include hotel chains, resorts, congress and trade fair organisations, consultancies and specialised hospitality service providers. For example, in a hotel, you will be qualified to work in human resource departments, food beverage, sales or in front offices. After working for several years you could climb to a strategic management position. You will be able to calculate prices, guarantee an excellent quality of service and develop concepts for the advancement of your company. You can also specialise in marketing, distribution, public relations and food & beverages. In national and international companies IUBH graduates are sought-after employees. Students can get a head start on their career by participating in the annual on campus "Career Days" recruitment fair where many top national and international recruiters are represented.
