Course Description

The BA(Hons) Accounting and Finance (fast track) course seeks to provide a foundation for lifelong learning with a strong emphasis on the development of appropriate knowledge, skills and professional values essential to the exercise of an accounting and finance specialism, whether in industry or public practice. It has been designed to provide a thorough grounding in financial reporting, management accounting and corporate finance. It aims to develop technically competent, broad based individuals who think and communicate effectively and who have the basis for conducting inquiry, carrying out problem solving and undertaking critical analysis in a constantly changing business context.

Career outcomes

Successful graduation from the BA(Hons) Accounting and Finance (fast track) carries the following exemptions: Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) - up to nine papers (F1 to F9), depending on options taken Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) - up to nine papers (C1-C5, P1 and P2, F1 and F2), depending on options taken Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) ACA - up to seven papers, depending on options taken and a pass at a minimum 50% in each module
