Course Description

If you already have an animation or programming background and you want to develop high level knowledge, skills and understanding of 3D animation production processes and virtual environments’ development, then this course is for you. You will learn advanced practical production skills and develop an understanding of the workflow and techniques used in this discipline such as character animation, rendering and compositing.

Entry Requirements Minimum 2:2 honours degree Degree should demonstrate a high level of familiarity with a range of digital animation techniques and programming languages, as well as some expertise in at least one of the following areas: Traditional Animation Production Digital Animation production Narrative & Storyboarding2D/3D Character Concepting & Production Special Effects & Compositing Programming skills Digital Animation systems Animation Simulation Technology Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) We welcome applications from students who may not have formal/traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully. The Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) process could help you to make your work and life experience count. The APL process can be used for entry onto courses or to give you exemptions from parts of your course. Two forms of APL may be used for entry: the Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) or the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL). English Language Requirements International students must provide evidence of proficiency in English- IELTS 6.5 band score or a score of TOEFL at 575 or above (232 computer based) with a TWE of 4.0 or above are proof of this.
