Course Description

A Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance delivers an education on the theory and use of financial analysis. Financial analysis is useful in all settings where decisions have to be made about how to manage wealth, assets, or money based on expectations about the future. Finance deals with the exchange of assets over time. It is concerned with the pricing of assets, decisions on how firms should decide what projects to undertake and how to fund those projects, decisions on appropriate investment strategies by individuals and institutions, how financial markets work both domestically and internationally, and the governance of those who make financial decisions.

We work closely with the UGA Career Center and potential employers. Some recent internship placements include Frisch Capital Partners, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Target headquarters, Accenture, Nordstrom, Pfizer, Wells Fargo, Harris Williams & Co., Bank South, Nissan North America, Boeing, PwC, Young Life, and the United Steelworkers Union to name a few. More than 200 Finance students were placed in internships this year. In 2015, 89% of finance majors were employed within three months of graduation.
