Career outcomes

Our graduates have found employment as freelance practitioners, in small design companies and larger firms. Many of our graduates go on to pursue careers which cross the traditional boundaries of Graphic Design, for example Brendon Cook designs books for HarperCollins Australasia but he also works as a freelance graphic designer often undertaking web design briefs (he has also come back to give guest lectures). Several other students now work within publishing and locally and nationally; several alumni now work for Imagine Publishing in Bournemouth. Both Laura Walker and Luke Bonner work for Thinking Juice who was recently voted ‘Advertising Agency of the Year, South of England 2010′. This success has been supported by a dedicated staff team who regularly utilise industry and business contacts to allow students to develop ‘live’ project working skills and for future employment and industry engagement. This work has been achieved by working alongside the Enterprise Pavilion, charitable organisations and local business.
