Course Description

The Business Administration - International program will provide graduates with the fundamental skills and knowledge required to conduct business in a global marketplace. 40% of Canada's economic activity (Gross Domestic Product - GDP) is related to international trade. The majority of that trade is between Canada and the U.S. More than $2.7 billion a day flows over the border crossings in Windsor, Ontario into the U.S. making it a critical trade corridor between those two countries. All of this activity creates job opportunities and this advanced diploma program will equip graduates with the capabilities to thrive in this sector. The program offers intensive multi-semester projects that allow students to select a product, research a country that it could be offered in, build a marketing and business plan to support their business idea. At the end of the program students have the opportunity to submit their final projects to the Canada's National accreditation body the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) to achieve their FITT certification. They also have the opportunity to qualify for their Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) accreditation. Both of these achievements will provide the graduate with a broader base of employment opportunity. To be successful in international business you should enjoy foreign travel, be people oriented and outgoing and possess excellent communication skills.
