This course gives you the skills to carry out basic beauty therapy treatments and to start your career as a beauty therapist. As well as daytime lessons you'll need to come into College one evening a week or on a Saturday. The course covers: Manicures and pedicures Facials and eye treatments, such as brow shaping Waxing Customer service and client consultation Salon policies and procedures Anatomy and physiology Promotion of retail and services.

You could progress to a Level 3 beauty therapy course to improve your skills for better job prospects, or consider a beauty apprenticeship to learn on the job and in college.
