The Computer Science curriculum is a 4-year program and has been developed to give students a broad computer science education. The curriculum allows students to take several technical electives to gain an emphasis in an area of computer science such as: Computer Networking, Game Programming, Information Technology Management, and Software Engineering.

SDSU's EECS graduates are in high demand by numerous employers, many right here in South Dakota and the upper Midwest. Nearly all of our graduates are working as either design engineers or in research & development. Several work in technical sales and marketing or have pursued military careers. Others have chosen graduate schools to obtain Masters, Doctorate, or other advanced degrees.
