Certificate(Non-Destructive Testing Foundations)

Course Description

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is a very important component of many industries. Identifying potential mechanical and structural failures can save time, money and lives. For example, inspection and reporting must be carried out on equipment in the oil and gas, transportation and aviation industries, just to name a few. The NDT Foundations program assists students entering the growing NDT field by providing a basic overall knowledge of the inspection industry. This knowledge is a foundation for the student to progress through all levels of inspection methods. In Canada, NDT Certification is regulated by the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB). There are three steps to obtaining CGSB Certification; training, work experience, and CGSB exams. These three steps are repeated for each method and level of certification. There are three levels of certification for each of the five methods of inspection within the NDT industry.
